Nope. All 7 series cards in general.

 i havent heard anything bad about any 7 series cards except the 7900gt's that would die after 4 days

I have a 7600gt from EVGA, my brother has a 7300gt from leadtek. both are still working great  (my 7600gt for 2 months, his 7300 for a couple weeks)

The problems with the 7series cards like the 7900GT were mainly with the first batch that came out. eVGA has already fixed the problems since then. The only problem right now, if you consider it a problem, is that some people feel the fans are noisey. Noise is subjective though, what you, I, or someone else considers noisey may not be to someone else. There is a simple solution for that though if you find it a problem. Aftermarket cooler.

How is that relevant to the topic?

I think you shouldn't get the KO edition. I think something is up with them...just a thought!

It's relevant. The post he was responding to... isn't.

if the cards are overheating then it would be relevant

yea, i dont understand why there is a big temp problem. i mean EVGA put a better cooler on the KO rather than the standard cooler on the other 7600 GT's and we are seeing worse temps on the KO. doesent make sence. i would tell you my temps but i dont have the card yet because UPS doesent deliver on the weekends... so i get it monday. anyone else have artifacting on the 7600 GT KO? thats the least complaint ive heard for the KO

higher temperatures point to the fact that EVGA is probably increasing the voltages on their OC video cards.

hm, that would make sence, but they still should ahve fixed the poblem by getting a better heat sink before shipping

I'm in the exact same position as you man. My 7900GT CO will be here Monday from Newegg. I'm scared to open it b/c of the same reasons. I don't want to keep RMAing a week from now.

I was thinking of ditching the card altogether and getting an ATI x1800XT.

my card went up to 80C underload and there were no artifacting at all.

yet..there were no exhaust fans at all in my dell 5150. I'm going to grab a pci slot cooler and a fan to cool the case down.

I recently bought that exact same card for my new system. I installed it and noticed it was pretty quiet just running windows, however when I launched any game, it's fan would speed up and it actually became quite noisy. Temperatures at idle were 50 C and about 75 C under load.

I then ordered a Zalman VF900-cu cooler and had my noise drop down to the point I can't really hear it, and my temps are 40 C idle and only 53 C under load.

One thing I noticed is when I removed the old heat sink, the thermal pad they used only looked disturbed on 1/2 the surface. On top of that, there were what appeared to be cushioned pads between the ram and the heatsink. If you are going to reuse the old heatsink, I would suggest you spread the thermal compound across the whole GPU die because if you just use a drop and let the heatsink spread it, it might not cover the whole surface if you make contact at a angle.
