Crap Corsair hoses

When do you think Corsair will step up and put real hoses on those H60, 80 and 100's? They are are so cheap and inefficient. With every one of their water cooler I stick in a build, I upgrade because it's little more than an embarrassing flexi-drinking drinking straw!

Because they're the only ones with cheap psuedo watercooling coolers that there's no competition to make them better.

I haven't opened one up, are they smooth inside or is it corrugated? Some of the other AIO water cooling manufacturers have gone with normal tubing.

Although I do prefer the kink free rubber hoses like those on the Asetek/Antec coolers, the corsair ones are not that bad unless you have a super small chassis imo. Plus I really don't personally care as long as the tubing doesn't leak, and Corsair gives a 5 year warranty on their water cooling series, so pretty good quality. I'm very happy with my h60, but of coarse, there's no substitute for a custom loop.

I don't think there would be a significant improvement in the cooling capacity of an AIO unit just by changing the tube. Plus, the tube that they use are meant to be less porous and less fluid loss over time in contrast to the porous nature of standard tubing that custom loops uses.

You say that they're inefficient... what makes them inefficient compared to other piping? Do they inhibit the flow of the liquid in any way compared to other options?

The only problem that I've ever heard of in relation to them is when people get leaks. However, in all the pictures that I've seen where people had leaks, they all seem to start bending their tubes really close to the pump. I would guess that could potentially create a gap as the bend would put force on the piping and the force would end up at or near where it connects to the pump.

My H50 bends about 3"-4" or so away from the pump.
