cramming more RAM in a dell

I'm doing some microarray analysis and it would be very helpful if I could get 4gb in one of the dell sstems @ school... there are only the optiplex and precision 350 models and they're listing max ram @ 2 GB which is really pitiful. Are there any bios mods that can get me to 4 GB? I've also got a 700m, but I doubt that will handle 4, thanks.
 
ended up buying 4bg of 2700 for an old system I built myself which at least can handle it as opposed to these poc dells. Thanks.
