Craigslist: something hast to be wrong with this car for the price

I looked this car up on Kelly Blue Book and I can't believe how much it says it is worth.
No way would I pay the KBB suggested price for a 10 year old Toyota.

Oh, wow, I didn't even notice the other pics. I only saw the top one at first.
I think you go and get it in person.

Then you wouldn't get the car. Since it's an enthusiast car, there will be people willing to pay KBB or above prices.

I wonder how much shipping from Nigeria costs...

Don't worry they will send you an MO to cover shipping + some and you'll just send the rest back to them. Nice guys down there very trustworthy.

Aren't his rear tires on backwards? they are orientated differently than the fronts. and why are there no shots of the engine bay?

nice car though. and nice scam.

have you considered the posibiltiy that he just put that price down just to get ppl to look at the ad.

it could also be a typo and he meant $50k. The wheels alone are worth close to 3K.

My friend from high school had a 97 anniversary edition that he got for an absolute steal. It was really nice and he got offers well north of 50k for it everywhere he went. Really cool car.

No sympathy for idiots who can't identify an obvious scam.

lol are you talking about me? I am not getting or questioning getting it, hell I can't even afford $5k if I wanted it, I was just mentioning it.

Stick with your new Scion then 🙂

There are CL threads that are legitimate...but if you have to ask in post they will be gone by the time you get there.

In 1990 I picked up a 1988 Mustang GT, last year of the T-Tops in dove gray (a rare color) with just about every motorsports option on it. It was being sold by the manager of a Lincoln-Mercury dealership that even had the higherend thunderbird jbl system put in it (not the best, but a great factory stereo)...had around 20k miles on it...still smelled brand new. Everything was mint

Mustangs of worse condition were going for $10,500+, guy had it listed for $7500..must sell today.

I had the cash already and rushed to see it. Guy had found a boat that was a steal and needed another $7500 to get it. Came back 60mins later to pick it up and drive it home. I could have flipped it for an easy $12-3k.
