I don't get the point of captcha's anyways because 1) I have to login to an account to post and 2) I verified my account with a text to my phone

Rant:

Just got a captcha that contained the greek letter Phi and an accented letter "e" wtf ? seriously and is it necessary to have a 20-25 letter captcha get the fuck out craigslist.

Related CL gripe:

I had to do that text message verification thing, which wasn't a huge deal... but once I entered the verification code, it just brought me straight to my account page. My ad went poof. Had to rewrite it.

I keep telling myself to write CL ads in Notepad but I always forget.

Just click the little refresh button to get another captcha.

i know that....why do i have to captcha after each post, I'm already freaking logged in. So annoying then on top of that i have to click refresh like 8 times because of obscure:thumbsdown::mad: characters and unreadable nonsense.

You'll be happy to learn then that ReCAPTCHA works be picking two "words", one it knows what it is, one that it doesn't. All you need to do is correctly write the one it knows. It then uses your answer for the unknown one to help in digitizing texts.

For example, in your first image, the known word is obviously "yorying" you can enter anything you want for the first part (the "1916-1935"). It doesn't take much of an imagination to figure out what 4chan has made a habit of for replacing the unknown word

Post your funny captchas because I wanted to start a funny captcha site.

Yeah, anything in another language, or if you get something completely indecipherable, you don't have to fill out.

What was the site that had the captcha where you would have to pick out the letters that were superimposed on cats?

edit: Rapidshare!

Any idiot can use a script to login and spam craigslist. It takes a slightly more intelligent jerk to get past the captchas.
