Just wondering what would make my left speaker crackle, It just started to make the sound 2 days ago and won't go away. I'm using an ancient Diamond Sonic Impact PCI sound card but I have AC'97 onboard audio on my mother board which is disabled. Considering the age of the Sonic Impact card, would the onboard audio result in a better sound?
It's really starting to piss me off, I'll play a tune and after 30secs. or so it just starts to crackle. Sounds like a bit of interference.
The speaker cone is fine no cracks.
Any suggestions?
