I still have 3 years left on my 4 year warraty, so I don't really want to do anything to void the warranty. IBM wants $895 to replace the LCD. I can get the FRU part for $541. Anyone know of any other places that might be cheaper? Right now there aren't any dead t40's on ebay that I could steal the screen from.
 
You could try entering the compatible t40 fru #'s and doing a title and description search on ebay. I was able to find some compatible ones for my t21 using that method.
