Please help me. My name is Rob..... <sigh> "Hi Rob."

"I play World of Warcrfaft"..... <sigh> "You can beat it Rob! Hang in there!"

You see this game is the most addicting game I've ever plaid ARGHGHGHGH!

The best 3D Shooter ever and Best MMORPG out at the same time. I haven't watched TV, played my guitar in weeks. I'll play WoW and have to take a dump and don't get up, my stomach will be rumbling and I don't eat, my wife dresses up in hot lingerie and ... (NO I'm NOt that bad yet.) I ding 20..... "Are you going to come watch a movie with me..." .... "oh it's only because the game is so new and fresh honey...bear with me." .... I ding 30... "YOU SURE ARE PLAYING THAT GAME A LOT!!!" .... "...ummmm I guess I'll log out for 5 minutes... what did you say?"

HELP!!!! No this is the best time ever that I can remember where there are 2 totally KICK ASS "best in their class" games out at the same time and man is it rough on the personal life! And my wife LOVES games too so try to imagine what a potato I've been for the last 3 weeks!!!!

my nephew played asherons call for 2 years straight. he would stay awake for 3 days in row sometimes, his friends would come over and they would have to watch him play.
i tried to get him away from it but he would just go to his friends and play it.
he did terrible in school and couldnt think of anything except that game.

i think he had 2 characters which were like level 90 or so and he got hacked by someone and lost them.
he would justify his weeks and months of work saying that these guys were worth money on ebay, so its like a job.

a job that pays about a penny an hour.

now he plays wow. i hope this doesnt last as long.
he is going to be 19 still living with his mom playing this game.

I stay away from all MMORPGs knowing I do not have the kind of time necessary to play. I have way to much going on day to day to be able to spend more than a couple hours a week gaming. (although I do wish I had the time)

meh. it's people like that that give the more responsible mmorpg players a bad reputation.

i took a week off from WoW to study for the LSAT. it was rough the first two days, but kinda got used to it by the third.

Typical MMORPG virgin. Don't fret. You'll burn yourself out on MMORPGs in another 6 months. And then you'll be left in a state of depression at the countless hours you pointlessly poured into a pointless game.

I'm addicted...
just got my girlfriend addicted on the weekend as well... She's going to buy her own copy so we can play together... haha 🙂

If I was paying $20/month, I guess I could justify spilling obscene amounts of time into the game too.

That's why I'm going to play Guild Wars. MMORPG + no monthly fee = best of both worlds.

God I hope their plan takes off so more people emulate it.

(For those who don't know: The reason they're not charging a monthly fee is because they plan on regularly releasing extra content in the form of a discrete purchase; I think they were shooting for 4 times a year or something like that. So instead of $20/month, you pay $30-$40 for an expansion pack 4 times a year. I hope it works.)
