I have a brand new abit kt7e and two duron 700 and 1000 after installing everything, i tried to start up and i was getting no post. Then the cpus fried. I cant figure out what is going on and thats alot of money i have wasted anyone know what i can do or whats going on, and if u have an extra athlon or duron please tell me... im screwed right now thanks

If you bought the mobo from the same place as the CPU's I would return it too. Definately would return the mobo if you fry another.

Does your board have jumpers? Are they correct?

Heatsink must be properly placed with thermal grease and heatsink fan running. Without heatsink, you get a meltdown in a few seconds.
