hi... CPUIDLE 6.0 - i was just wondering if this prog will still be very help & advisable to cool ur processor? will running this prog have any negative effects on computer components??? i heard that this prog make frequent ons & offs on ur cpu to cool it down & i just wonder will it be powersupply dependent?

If you use Windows 2000, XP or linux, that function is already enabled into the OS.

before i installed it, my temps were around 45-47 at idle (xp1800+ at 12.5*138).... i tried installing it and my temps dropped to 34-36 at idle.. so i guess it wasnt rili enable under winxp...

i just wana know side-effects of using this progi....

It just a windows program control tweak for its registry.

The only thing you need to remember is to remove / uninstall it .... before you install another motherboard.
(its MB chipset dependent,,, not all MB's need or can use this tweak)(and only applies to AMD CPUs)

Then you can use it again ... if needed.

I use WPCRSET myself .. it does the same thing.
Although WPCRSET allows you to tweak other components to windows also ... like memory bandwidth.

hell yah this program works before on 2k i got idle temps of 50c now idle is 37c w00t!
