I just installed the latest build 1.54, and it tells me I have a single core on my old 4200+ X2 Toledo, just curious if this is correct or if the cpu is on the fritz? I know it reported 2 cores before in an older CPU-Z build.

does windows show 2 threads? run the winrar bench, see what that nets

MSINFO32 Only shows one processor

In Device Manager under processosrs is just says AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, there is no mention of an ACPI Multicore processor only ACPI Uniprocessor PC

Sounds like a problem. Did you re-install windows at some point? It sounds like it installed the UniProcessor HAL, which doesn't support multiple cores.

Win XP? What OS?

If WinXP, be sure to Install the AMD Drivers(can't remember name).

You may want to try this. Though it says it's for Win2k, perhaps it will work for other O/S's:
