CPU-Z reporting my Venice 3200+ wrong

Hello, I'm trying to overclock my Venice 3200+ step 6 CPU. Here is my problem.

I go into Bios and change these settings.

CPU Bus 260
CPU Mult 10x
HT Mult 4x

Cas 2.5
tRCD 3
tRP 3
tRAS 8

Everything posts ok, I get into windows media center and check CPUZ, it still displays that I'm running at 2.0Ghz. Is this a faulty reading?

I Have a DFI nforce4 SLI mobo. Upon post, I don't see the true CPU speed posted either. Is that normal as well? Please help.

Your HTT is too high for the HT multi. Change it to 3x.

Do you have cool and quiet enabled?

Hmm, good call. Yes, disable Cool & Quiet.

You probably do but have you got the latest version? CPU-Z 1.32

Yes, Cool and Quiet disabled. I save my BIOS and reboot, don't see the new frequency being posted at splash screen, I go into Bios, and Bios reports that I have successfully changed the clock speeds, but whenever I go into windows, run CPUZ it reports I'm still at 2.0 GHZ.

To be exact. I have the Venice 3200+ DH-E6 core. Voltage seems to have updated, but not the overclocked speed reading. Please help. Am I leaving something out of the BIOS settings? I was following this article.

Any chance that the DH-E6 are being locked?

Bios is a 7/25/05 version. I have the DFI nF4 Infinity SLI mobo. It lets me change the settings for the CPU and the Ram. everything posts ok. But Windows reports 2.0Ghz. When I reboot, I go into Bios, it reports I have 2600Ghz. HTT changed to 3x, same thing. Cool and Quiet turned off. Same thing. please help. getting frustrated alittle. Seems like it reverts back to the 2.0Ghz setting automatically.

Again, I have the AMD 64 Venice 3200+ DH-E6 CPU, DFI nF4 Infinity SLI Mobo, OCZ rev 2 Platinum PC400 1GB Ram

Also, could it be that the nTune for nF4 is changing my OC settings back to what it is? If so, how do I disable it?

I had this experience, that time whatever FSB I changed, the speed is stuck at 2250.
I shutdown the machine a few minutes, then restart again, finally I can get max at 275FSB.

Is that a sign that the CPU melting and heavily stressed?. But hey.... the temp only showing 31-32 C.

Hi, I also noticed that the fan speeds are spining faster at boot, and when it goes to windows it quiets down. does this mean that the nTune is tuning my computer to have a quiet setup? please help. I can't find where to stop nTune from working. please advise!!
