Well a month ago I thought I was in love with my Vista Home Premium x64. Then the Sata ODD wouldn't work. Then the graphics drivers went kaput with no explanation. Then my PCI e-Sata wouldn't work.

..Now, upon downloading the latest version of CPU-Z, it causes an instant shutdown when I click the icon. I can't imagine what's causing this. Any ideas?

Is your cpu overclocked?
Reset everything back to stock or defaults.
Run Orthos and/or Memtest to ruling out hardware related failures.
Otherwise it sounds like your mobo and/or psu may be on her last leg.

Thanks for the replies. The settings are stock, the motherboard is brand new from RMA, and the PSU (Zalman 600-HP) is less than 3 months old. The reason I thought it was vista is because the week before with XP it was perfect. Anyhow, seems as though it fixed itself (lol).
