Hi Guys,

I m new to this forum. I have been using an AMD Athlon 2800+ and possibly the worst motherboard a gamer can have since 4 years now. I have somehow managed Rs. 30000/- for my CPU I.e., not monitor, Keyboard and mouse just the cabinet and accesories within that. I need the best config for gaming within that range. I m also not planning on Overclocking my computer so based on that i have selected the following Configuration :

Intel Core i5 2500 processor
Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3 Motherboard
Corsair 4gb DDR3 1333MHZ RAM
Seagate 500gb Sata HDD
ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB DDR5 Graphics card
VIP 600W SMPS
Coolermaster Elite 343 Cabinet
Hp 24X Mulitifromat DVD Writer 1260i

I think this Config will come within 30000 Rs. I m planning to buy each of this from individual online sites which offer me best price and then assemble it together myself. Please let me know if there are any incompatibilities or any change in Config is always welcome. But it should be within Rs. 30000. Help me on this one Guyz..

We don't know how much 30000 Rs is, where you will be buying your items, or how much each item costs, so we really can't help you.
As for compatability, it looks fine.

The 5670 is no good, go with at least a 5770, even if you have to go with a cheaper CPU/mobo setup (maybe go AMD?)

Forgive my ignorance, but is Rs. rupees? If so, then 30,000 rupee = $672.34 USD.

I tried to look up prices to give other posters an idea of what's going on.

Like other posters have said, you need to spend less on cpu and motherboard, and more on the GPU. Do you require a micro-ATX motherboard?

edit: I would go with an AMD cpu to save $100 on the cpu purchase and spend $170 on the gpu.

$110 AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz
$95 GIGABYTE GA-870A-USB3
$169.99 after Mail in Rebate GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 560

Check your prices with SMC International if you're in Delhi, or some shops in Lamington Road if in Bombay...

Ideally, for gaming you could buy X4 955 (Rs. 5,500) with an AM3+ mobo
Graphics card is the tricky bit...
Depending on your budget and possibilities to stretch it a bit, you could buy 6870(Rs.10.5-11K), 6950 1GB (Rs 13.5k) , or 6950 2GB (Rs 15k)
Nvidia cards are rather expensive in India and i can see a 560Ti being sold for 14.5k plus, which is not really to be compared with 6950.
Also, get a good power supply... it will bite :p but it is a one time purchase, and if you buy corsair HX series, you get 7 years warranty :)
