Well I'm 14 and just started working at a MCdonold's and plan on getting a notebook in the first half of next year. The buget is $4000 bucks. I don't know if to go for the tultium P3 or the Baton or the thoroghbred? I don't want the mobile Athlon 4 becouse it's to big. I'm getting something with the die size of .13. I'm looking to get a system with on of the above cpu, Geforce2Go or Redeon mobile or and if out the redeon 2 mobile, with PC2100 DDR. Does anybody think this will be out by then?

Next career move is learning how to spell your employer's name.

And yes, save your money until the middle of next year.

What do you need a $4000 laptop for? For that money you could buy a desktop and a decent laptop. A desktop will ALWAYS beat a laptop in gaming performance.

its not illegal to work at 14, they just cut your hours... you can even work when you're little but you get like barely any hours.

i wish i had a budget of $4000 at 14. im 18 and i only ahve $2 in my wallet

$4000 on a laptop, that is a joke! I can think of better ways to put that kind of money to work. If I had a use for a laptop I would not pay more than $1000-$1400.

Also, read your message before you post. Not only are you a bad speller, you can't write either.

Anand's review of Athlon4 has an updated roadmap. Spend some time looking in AMD's website, they have a roadmap there too.

You'd be better off buying a cheap Duron-based laptop (~$1k max) and build an Athlon gaming box (~$1k max). Save yourself $2k for college so you can get a real job later on.

Wait before you make a choice. We will all see plenty of changes and price drops between now and the end of the year. Making a chioce now is not wise my 14 year old friend.
