cpu voltage?

It will undoubtedly shorten its life, and I can't guarantee it won't die on you, but as long as it is at ok temperatures (and, IMO, at a high enough speed to warrant that VCore) then I guess it's ok. I used to overclock my 1700+ 1.5vcore to 133x12.5=1666mhz, limiting myself to 1.65 VCore, but now I don't overclock anymore because I prefer peace of mind.
 
That's the thing, there is no real way to tell. I would bet it would last that long, but there is no way to tell, every chip is different as far as what it can tolerate. This risk is the reason overclocking isn't as popular as it would be if there were none.
 
It used to be that the lifespan of a normally clocked processor was like 10 years. I don't know if this still holds though. 1700s are cheap at the vary least, so it isn't like frying a $500 processor. I think as long as your temps are low you should be fine.

i've burned two out over 2v and one at 1.86

so i usually say keep it under 1.85 if you wanna keep it

i got my current 1800+ t-bred running at 1.74v
