CPU voltage on Asus P4PE

CATASTROPHY

Senior member
I have an Asus P4pe motherboard and a 2.4b c1 cpu. I set everything to default and my hardware monitor is reading voltages of 1.62-1.65v.Is this board overvolting that much ? Or are these incorrect readings? It also reads 1.65v in MBM5.
If I manually adjust the cpu voltage in the bios to say 1.65v then the readings in hardware monitor and mbm go up accordingly to 1.78-1.80v
I have tried 3 different cpu in this board with the same results.
Questions, are these readings correct? could this board be overvolting that much? i bought it ised off the forums could the board have been modded to raise the volts like this? Is there any other way to verify that these are the correct readings? Has anyone had similar experiences with this same Asus motherboard?
i dont want to accidently fry a cpu here ,any and all help appreciated.
