CPU VCORE comes from where?

How does the CPU get the VCORE voltage from the motherboard?
Is it divided down from the 12V line?

its from the 3.3 volt and 5 volt rails... from what i understand...

So my guess was right, its the 12v line.

Therefore, if the power supply is providing a voltage higher than say exactly 12v, then the VCORE could be produced slightly higher than what you are selecting in the bios, correct?
