My motherboard (Aopen - AX6BC) hardware monitor gives me these 4 values. I understand Vcore is for CPU, and 3.3V is for bus. What are 5V, 12V value for?
And after I changed the power supply a couple of days ago, 3.3V value jumped from 3.29 to 3.46, which is at the edge of 5% margin from the nominal value. Does power supply do this? Thanks.

If you run you cpu at any of these voltages you will fry it in like 10 minutes(10 seconds for 12). I think those are for i/o voltage though not vcore.

lol :)

Vcore is your processsoor internal voltage.
depends on your processor

3.3v is the VIO voltage...

5v and 12v are the lines that go to devices like hd/cdrom/floppy etc etc.

That's a pretty high default VIO voltage...I'd be worried (3.46v)

All I did was change the power supply from Enlight 250W to critically acclaimed Antec PP303X 300W. After that,

Nominal(Acceptable range(5%))---before----after
3.3(3.13 - 3.46)----------------3.29------3.46
5.0(4.75 - 5.25)----------------5.23------5.08
12.(11.40 - 12.60)--------------12.18-----12.18
Vcore(2.0 for PII)--------------2.05------2.05

So, 5V value gets closer to the nominal value, while 3.3V value deviates further. I have 4 hard drives, 2 CD devices, so I thought 300W power supply was not overkill. As a matter of fact, Enlight 250W power supply doesn't even have enough power outlets to feed all of my devices. Do I have to get back to original 250W power supply? If 3.46 for VIO is too high, what kind of problems should I anticipate? Thanks.

I too am wondering about these measurements. These are mine:

+12V = 12.099
-12V = -11.57
+5V = 4.945
-5V = -4.96
+3.3V = 3.44
VCore = 1.728

Are these good? Lately my system has been crashing while watching Divx/asf videos. Could one of the above value be the culprit? How can I change that?

I thought + or - %10 was the acceptable range, that's the specs I've seen at least. I think you should be fine leaving the 300watt supply in.

my Epox 8KTA+ gives me :

+12 - 12.004
+5 - 5.016
+3.3- 3.55 (only cos I bumped it up to get my PC-100 stable @ 133cas2)

PS is Aopen 300watt (remarked Sparkle FSP-600GT)
CPU is duron 1ghz
3 HDD's, 2 CD-roms
5 PCI cards

You'll have no problems with a VIO of 3.46v. I've been running my VIO at 3.9v for the last couple've week since getting my BX-133RAID, again to keep a stick of old PC100 happy at 133 CAS2. So far, I've had no crashes that can be attributed to the higher VIO.

cheers

My Soyo board sets VIO to 3.5v by default, I can't even set ti to 3.3v. Never had a problem.
