CPU utilisation jumping.

Hi, today i have noticed that my CPU utiliation is jumping up and down at weird spots, locking my comp for about 2-3 seconds. It just started happening today. When this happens, the System procss jumps to about 60% cpu. This is wieird because i have never seen this before. I am wondering if it is due to my OC, but its been stable for a very long time. I have run 3 different sets of spyware and Norton 2005 and both turned up negative. Everytime it freezes, it is when SYstem has about 50% cpu.


Suggestions?
 
I dont know much about your problem but i do know that Norton is crap. Especialy when you dont use anything else.
Unintsall Norton and get AVG free edition or Avast free. (google them, dont have links on hand)
