CPU Usage shows 100% after access a network drive!!!

This is giving me headache for weeks. I have a network drive full of movies files in mpeg format. All files are around 30-100MB in size. Whenever I access this drive, the CPU Usage shows 100% all the time and it won't go down. I checked task manager and explorer is utilizing 100%. I have to log off and log back on just for this to go away. Please help.
