just a curiosity question guys...
So my AMD 64, almost all the time sits at 0% to 1% CPU usage.
but whenever i use FTP software, then you can see CPU spikes jumping back and forth from 0% to say 14%?
why other software barely uses CPU, and FTP which is such an antique protocol causes so much stress???
it happens with any FTP client or server software i use, seems like related to the FTP protocol
could it be the "Z" (forgot actual name) compression, that in the past is set on by default, and does on the fly?
nope, that is not it, i just checked the settings and "compression" is turned off.
