Hello,
I recently built my first computer and the CPU usage is constantly fluctuating up and down between 0-5% and the hard drive is seeking (making a noise) every 10 seconds or so when everything is idle. I don't know if I am being over concerned, but all of our computers at work that are old and jacked up are smooth at little to minimal fluctuations (steady at 1% maybe going up to 3 or 4 every 10 seconds or so). But, mine is constantly going back and forth between 0-5% every second. There appears to be no problem in the task manager- all 00 except for 99 on system. I am being paranoid, or missing something?
The only reason I noticed this is because the HD keeps making the "Glug-gluck" noise every 10 seconds that is driving me crazy. I hope I am not ignorant in any of my concerns or questions.
My system:
AMD 3200+ 90nm
MSI Neo4 Ultra Platinum
Corsair Value Select ddr400 512mbx2
WD Raptor 74gb
NEC ND-3520A DVD drive
Antec Sonata Case w/380W power supply
Microsoft Comfort Wireless keyboard/mouse
Any help is greatly appreciated!
