CPU USAGE @ 100%

Temps are skyrocketing, and my cpu-usage is at 100%? what is causing my CPU to stress out so much? I've got literally NO applications on except for firefox, and the processor is a amd64 3200+ @ 2.6. help!!

was firefox hanging? firefox is a little buggy still. i have to end task on it because it hangs and sucks up 100% of the cpu.

if it is not hanging, you may want to check for spyware.

Is Firefox using all 100% of the CPU or is something else doing it? Click the processes tab and see what's actually using the CPU.

heh..oddly enough, when i reset at a different voltage (increased it to 1.475) firefox doesnt take up 100% anymore...😕

hehe...im still tinkering with the voltage and such, want to get load temps under 50, so far I've had nnoo luck. Load temp right now is 52 degrees. 🙁

also FF has a memory leak problem with certain extensions.

my memory usage goes up to 140K sometimes with just FF... WOW!

firefox has, on occasion, used 100% of my CPU. When I close it, manually end the firefox.exe process, and open it again, it works fine.

i'm guessing your overclocking....prime test your system for 24hours to see if it's stable

Ya FF has some real problems, I still lke it, buts it def got some bugs.

The above method has always worked for me.

My FF will hit 100% CPU load when I open 10 to 15 links at the same time. Running a Sempron 3100 at 2.44GHz. Opera and IE wouldn't break above 50% load.

I have the same problem, FF will lock up for a few mins then go back to normal. I do have trouble w/ FF memory usage too, its been over 350mb+ before. I just have to remember to close it once in awhile.

OP could have other issues with OCing.. everyone having problems with firefox should check to see if they have updated it..
Version 1.5.0.1 doesnt have the hangs as bad as older versions..
