Cpu upgrading question.....

I have a P3-500 slot1 processor now, i've been wanting to upgrade...I know my board and memory can handle 133mhz bus, but i'm unsure if my video card can, since it's agp. Did anyone try a 133mhz bus with a Bx board and a Tnt2-U based card? I have a Bx6-rev2 and 133mhz memory, and my video card is a Guillemot Xentor32. Anyone with around the same setup have luck?

I've run the same type of card to 140 fsb/ with no ill effects... on my be6-2 board here... depends on the exact card I guess, as they all OC differently.....

it depends if your mobo has an agp/fsb divider of 1/4 (agp/fsb). if you do, then set it and you'll be good to go.

TNT2 cards usually will handle 133fsb fine, mind you that's usually. You imply that your other components are are known to handle the 133, and Zedfu is not quite right (although he's on the right track), what you need is a PCI/FSB divider choice of 1/4 in the bios. Your BX chipset motherboard only has AGP/FSB choices of 1/1 and 2/3, so that's what you're concerned about: will your AGP card stand the pressure of running at bus speed 89 vs it's spec'd 66?
You'll only know if you try it.
