CPU upgrade with Vista

I'm going to upgrade CPU's this week and am running vista home prem upgrade. I know that vista senses hardware changes and reacts to hardware changes.
Can somebody give me a hint of what kind of horror show I'm facing and maybe some advice about how to upgrade hardware on a vista computer.
 
I doubt it will want to re-activate, unless you've changed other hardware since the last activation. If it does need to re-activate the worst thing that will happen is you will need to call MS for 5 min. There will not be a horror show.
