cpu upgrade for an averatec 3250

i have an averatec 3250 with an xp-2200+ in it that is a 35w chip. Anyone know if it will handle the 45w chips which also run at a different voltage. I am not too much worried about heat issue or battery life, but a little bit better performance would be nice if it will handle the cpu, highest 35w i have seen is the 2400+
