CPU Upgrade as an xmas present

I am trying to buy my girlfriends brother a CPU, MB and RAM upgrade this xmas.

I have a budget of £200 and he does some light gaming ( he current has a P4 3.2, 1950 XT, 1GB)

The vendor I usually buy from is OCUK

I was hoping for a Core 2, 2GB and an ok MB???

Any suggestions?

This should be fine for light gaming:

CPU: Intel E5200

RAM: 2x2GB Corsair DDR2-800

Motherboard: ASUS P5QL P43 Motherboard
OR
Gigabyte GA-E45-DS3L Motherboard

Any CPU much faster than that is going to be held back by his graphics card in modern games anyway. It's a capable overclocker if he decides to go that route.
