omg! when overclocking, are you supposed to disable CPU throttling? My board had it set to throttle 75% and now after disabling it, it seems to be running more stable than with is set to 75%. I'm running Prime right now, and it's lasting much longer than before. this is great, if this continues (shhh!!! don't jinx it), then I might just be able to reach 2.6GHz.

A64s have throttling? I've never even heard of that before. My mobo doesn't have any options regarding it. The closest thing i've heard of is Cool n Quiet, but that's for power management, not for a safety feature. Regardless, Winchesters should be able to do just fine without any throttling whatsoever, especially in the 2-2.6GHz range. They just don't run that hot, especially compared to Prescotts.

are you getting high temps when you disable it?

you may get a more stable prime but maybe that's because it's reducing the proc speed and that's cheating ;-)

nah, w/e, i'll just leave it disabled, besides, my diodes are whack and I can't trust them. 41*C in BIOS on fresh boot early in the morning. 60*C load w/ XP-90 1.525 vcore.
