I'm running a new X2 3800 @ 2.5GHz at default voltage. Using Core Temp 0.95 I get idle temps of 40 and 35. Under full load I get 58 and 65. Speed Fan 4.31 gives me 35 idle and 65 load. CBID gives me 36 idle and 51 load. Which of these programs is most likely nearly accurate. I'm using the 4 heat pipe AMD heat sink which worked very well on my old 3500+ but I'm concerned about the temp on core 1 under stress. It hovers around 65 but is the core with the lower idele temp of the two. I'm using OCZ ultra thermal compound and coverage is good and seems to be 100% so the heat spreader appears to be flat. I have a case fan and duct from the side cover to the heat sink fan and a 92mm fan exhausting out the rear plus the power supply fan. Any ideas or suggestions?
