CPU temperature w/ ECS K7S5A

I have athlon xp 1700+ w/ ECS k7s5a and my cpu temp is 39 C with alpha 8045 (ystech fan). I'm using arctic silver Alumina. Is that temperature high?

I am running an XP 1600+ with an alpha 8045 + panaflow on a Epox 8KHA+ and my temp is about 32 C (90 F). I am actually suprised how cool it is running. BTW I am not overclocking at all. I don't know the specs on your fan, but I would say you are in a reasonable range. What are you using to monitor the temp? I am using Motherboard Monitor.

I am using MBprobe and mbm and they both give the same temp. I put a thin layer of the arctic alumina. My ystech Ur xp run very cool

Is that under full load or idle? If the former, you're fine, if the latter, you're getting a little hot, but not much. You should start thinking about making changes when it's up in the 50's.

39C is idle and full load it goes up to 45C.

Ok, I'm getting 44C idle now? Should I be concern? This is way too hot.

As ST4RCUTTER indicated, if you see temps exceeding say 55c then take action, anything under that is exceptable.

i have the same MB and HSF. I am running at a near constant 47. Under a full load it barely varies. I will be going to the KR7 when they are out, but for know, this is ok with me.

The temp changes little under full load. I haven't test with prime95 yet but after some cs it went up 1-2 degrees. I'll test with prime95 to see the temp changing. Is kr7 mobo any good?

i am running prime95 and the temp went up 50C under torture test. Should I be concern?

in the bios it usually says 41 degrees with my duron 800 not oc'ed, but in sandra it says 32, i have a volcano 6cu, it supports up to xp 1800, and it is amd recommended, which is more accurate, bios or sandra, oh and i have sh1tty airflow, when i open my case for about 5 minutes it goes down to 31 in the bios constant but when i close it, it goes up to 41 idle .

mine is running at 47 with no worries. If your running it hard and you hit 50, I wouldnt worry.
