CPU Temp Sensor

I bought a case today for a PC that I am building for a friend. The case has three sensors to read the system, hard drive and CPU temp. My question is how do you hook them up? They are just a flat sensor attached to 2 wires. Do I just rest the sensor on the processor between the processor and the fan? Also what about the other 2? Do I tape it to the hard drive? It would have been nice if the POS case came with some instructions...
