The CPU temperature sensor doesn't seem to be working on my A7V133 and I don't know why. Do I have to enable it somehow or is it just broken?

I'm not getting a temperature from that sensor, the motherboard sensor and the moveable wire one are working fine. In the BIOS I'm getting nonsense readings from it and I installed the asus monitor program last night and it reads the CPU temp as N/A.

If your bios can't read it maybe it's fuxt... but, on the other hand, it might be something a little bios flash can fix.

edit: "it's fuxt" meaning the thermal diode.

since i have used the a7v133... ( two systems and different rev of mobo and BIOS ) and a lot of my friends are still using the a7v133... and i have never heard of any BIOS version that couldn't read the temps...

so my best guess is the thermal sensor on your CPU is dead or .....
last year one of my friend applied too much AS on his system and the board could not get any temp readings. turns out that some of the AS is covering the thermal sensor... after a minor cleaning up voila !!! the sensor worked fine..
