well here is the problem...2 days ago my cpu temp was fine, running at about 34-36 idle, and when i play cs it would usually go up to around 40-41. well yesterday i noticed that my cpu temp was at 45, idle. my case temp guage says its at 47 right now and everest is saying the cpu is at 50 degrees. all fans are on high and all are running, cpu heatsink fan is running at 2200rpm. so my question is, why all of a sudden is their a 15+ degree change for my cpu? my hdd, video card are running fine, no problems with them. any help is appreciated, thanks

Whats the room temp been over that time ? 5c change in room temp can cause 15c or more cpu temp change.

check your heatsink. I noticed unusually high temps in my gf's setup and took a look inside her case. There was so much dust buildup and the fan on the heatsink essentially did nothing to cool down the heatsink.
