CPU Temp Question

I have an Athlon XP 2700+ CPU that runs at 40 Celsius at startup, then it goes up to 53 Celsius an hour latter. is this normal temp for such CPU?

Sounds correct. My old XP would idle at 44C and jump about 10C under load from what I remember.

The temps are fine, it all depends on your HSF, case airflow etc. All these things will infleunce the temp of your CPU.
