CPU Temp Question?

I just built me a system with the following:

Asus A7N8X-DX mobo
AMD 2500+ "Barton"
2x256MB Corsair XMS 2700LL
Zalman CNPS-6000cu Heatsink

I got about eight fans installed total, 2 rear, 2 PS, 2 Front, 1 side, 1 92mm fan for CPU

My question is, when i run Prime95 for hours the CPU temp. never goes over 100 F.

Should i be worried, the AMD CPU's im used to (1.2GHz T-Bird) run about 120F or higher. :)

if you are using the asus probe program, dont trust it!

install Speedfan and check the REAL diode temp! it's the sensor starting with S

...but if that is your diode temp, good job!!

I consistently stay in the 50's (celsius) with my barton, and that's with no voltage increase and I know I have decent cooling and airflow.

So going over 100F is something to be proud of, not worried! ;)

I'd love to know how some people are keeping their cases in the 20's and their chips in the 30's (C) with air cooling. I've got a 120mm fan in the front, a 120mm fan in the back (along with a 2 fan power supply to help even further), and I know my airflow is good. I also use a Volcano 9, which is not great but certainly adequate.

whoops...nm, just found it...sorry.

question...how do you get Speedfan? I'd like a temp monitoring program for my MSI k7t turbo2 :)
