cpu temp on the rise

I've noticed my CPU temps seem to have climbed fairly considerably over the last couple of months. Does Arctic Silver need to be cleaned off and re-applied periodically?

System specs:
MB: Abit KR7A-Raid
CPU: AMD XP 1600+
HSF: GlacialTech Igloo 2410
Case Temp: 32C
CPU Temp (idle): 54C
CPU Temp (load): 64C

While I seem to remember the case temps hovering near 32C before, I also seem to remember seeing ~48C idle and ~57C under load several months ago.

Sounds like your "igloo" is melting. lol. 🙂

Maybe a PSU fan is out or one/some of your fans are failing?

I recommend a good thorough dusting about once a month is necessary for maintaining good computer hygiene.😉

Also, the summer weather is coming, so that makes a difference. That can make my P4 go up about 10 or 15 degrees idle. Is the room temperate the same since when it was lower? Try lowering the room temperature to something you would have had in the winter and see if its back to the same.
