I'm using AI Suite II for temp reading
Capture_zps2f298a70.png

my motherboard is ASUS P8Z77-V LX2 and my processor is Intel i3 3240 3.4GHz. My temp would go between 46-54 celcius, but it once reached 65 celcius under heavy load. Is this temp normal or is it too high?
Do I need another software to read the temp more accurately?
thanks

You should look at the temperatures in Core Temp (or any other software that reads the cpu's temp sensors).

As you can see max temp for your cpu is 105C, so anything under that is ok.

That said, 71C is pretty high for a dual core. In order to know if it's too high we need more info: system components, which program caused those temps and ambient temp.

Seems pretty normal to me. So long as it doesn't go over 70C, its actually fine. If you hit 80C, it's acceptable, but you should check your cooling.

Ivy Bridge has a Tjmax of 105C, so everything under is "acceptable". Intel guarantees 3 years of operation at Tjmax... :)

what do you mean with system components? thanks
