CPU TEMP Monitoring FIC VA 503+ 1.2A -Software to do it????

I will soon o/c K6-3-400 2.2v AFR. Not sure what upper temp tolerance is on the chip, but think may be 70C(?), but want to run as cool as possible. This board has a hardware CPU temp monitor if you plug in an EISCA CPU fan to a special MB jack. Only you need a power supply with a "soft-off" function, and fear my older 230w in my AT case doesn't have that (way to tell?). I think only ATX supply has "soft-off"? Assuming I don't have the MB capability, wonder if there are any software programs to help monitor CPU temp? Any help appreciated!
