Hello everybody, I am a first time poster here and was hoping someone could shed some light on my recent temp increase. I have a dual xspc raid single loop set up with 6x 140mm on raid at top as exhaust and 4x 140mm on rad at bottom front for intake. I also have 120mm exhaust. Here is my problem, at idle my temps used to be right around 25c now the lowest I see them wanna stay is around 33-34c, and before I never noticed anything above 40c under full load and now it hits 45c almost instantly. The only thing I have done to the machine that I can think of is I changed out the 3 xigmatech fxl's that were on the bottom of the top raid with nzxt airflow series and the exhaust fan, originally some antec fan with no model info on it, with the nzxt airflow as well. I thought it might be the paste or waterblock setting because I noticed the blocks screws were not all the way tightened, I gave it a good tighten and no drops, so I took off the waterblock and noticed there was, what I would think to be, A LOT of paste on the cpu and block. The guy I originally got the pc off of worked at intel and built computers for a living so I was confused at first with the amount of paste I saw and how cool everything was running until now. I clean off the paste and got some shin etsu x23 and applied it a number of times with a small bb drop at first, line, x, and they all seem to stay in the same temps. Oh and by the way its a 3930k on stock settings, any help would be much appreciated.
