CPU Temp Drop After SP2 Installed?

I installed the rc of sp2 a few days ago and noticed a change in my temps. My idle went from 125 to 110, my case temp however stayed unchanged at 95. My temp would sit at 125 for days and not change...why would it suddenly drop when i installed SP2? Does it process things differently? This is on a P4 3.06/533.
