What should the difference between the cpu temp and case temp be? Ideal? GREAT and fair.
I believe mine is actually really good, but my case is still holding me back a bit. Round cables make a difference if normal cables are obstructing airflow (visually it sure looks like they are)?
Thanx!

There is no ideal difference. It depends considerably upon what type of processor your using. HDD heat and other heat generating components can also make a significant difference.

There is no norm and it can very a tremendous amount depending upon the hardware.

Currently (at idle), my case temp is 36 (high I know), and my cpu is 46. Typically it stays about 8-11c above case temp which I feel is pretty good. If I could only get my case temp down to 27C or so, I could have a sub 40c cpu temp.

Like Rand said, there is no ideal diff. Your propotionate asumptions tht if ur mobo temp is 27C then your CPU temp would be 37C is not true either.

But generally, I would agreed w/ u tht the CPU temp would be around 8-13C hotter than the mobo temp.
