CPU temp 105c ever since last asus bios.

So everything is dandy and Im in the 40's low 50's and on load 80's

After BIOS update 4302 my temp is skyrocketed I get cpu warning message...

In the BIOS it will go to 98c .


Oh Im using waterblock Is it that connection with cpu degraded.

BTW I used the cheapest TIM and how I put it on covered the whole CPU nice thick layer. Is that incorrect to do ? I mean I got 1 core working and its at 89c imagine using all cores , shoots to 100's after bios update.. thx

Are you sure the BIOS isn't bugged out and reading the wrong temperatures? Because unless you touched your cooling system at the same time, that sounds wrong.

Thanks a lot brother ViRGE for your reply. You make good points but I cant say the BIOS is messed up or anything..

Ive flashed it few times and it says successful. Its just this last 4302 BIOS as soon as I installed it the temps went to the roof ,,,,,, 95c on one core......

various temps,, but I get the beep on boot up telling me temps are too high. I never got that once since last Dec 2012 when I insatlled this thing.

Do you guys think maybe the CPU is busted,, I get my 4930k soon I hope this is not gonna happen......Im getting 70c idle and up to 105c playing. All this @ 1.36v come on now,, wtf is going on ? thx if someone can help me, thank you
