CPU Temp = 100 degrees Celsius

If it were an athlon it would have been fried for sure. But i thought the P4 Threshold was 70C and the CPU idling began at 67C. 100C is kinda weird. Well anyway congrats on ur 1st build. You are sooooo lucky.

Next time read the instructions a lil more carefully 😛!
 
Let me guess,You put on the heatsink pushed down to attach the 4 clips but you forgot to flip the 2 levers,because when you install a P4 heatsink correctly there's no way you can wiggle it,It uses so much force that the mobo even bends.

Be glad you bought a P4 because if it would have been an AMd chip it would have blown up after 5 secs.

It's measured in milliseconds! 🙂 (They can break Mach 1 in five seconds--1°F= 1 MPH--1800 MHz TBird with 2,200 mV VCC)

100°C = 212°F, the boiling point of distilled water at 1013 mB ATM.

That's HOT!

Sounds like little contact with HS...
