CPU Swap

My little server has a celeron (yeah i know) 333MHz Slot 1 CPU in a tekram board. I'm gonna put my Pentium 3 500MHz in it soon, and I wanna know if it's neccesary to reformat. It has Windows 2000 pro, and its all setup, and I really don't wanna start over. So what should I do?

no reformat necessary, bios will automatically detect a new chip has been installed

just make sure that the mobo supports the 100MHz fsb of the p3

definitly make sure, or it wont boot, but it shouldnt fry anything, but cpu replacement wont effect anything on the drive, the OS wont have a clue, it will jsut report what the bios/cmos sees

I used to use that board with my Pentium3 500 actually, so I know it supports it lol. I'm glad to hear that no reformat is neccessary. So thanks for all your help lol!
