cpu swap question

I need to swap out the cpu in one of our computers, will I need to reformat it afterwards?

What they said. But you do need to make sure that your BIOS revision supports the new processor. You definitely don't want to install the whole CPU and heatsink assembly only to find that the machine won't POST.
