CPU stepping ?

Is there any way to tell what stepping etc. I have w/o pulling the CPU?

I think WinCPUID would tell you the stepping (although it may not tell you the s-spec).

i dont remember wcpuid telling you the stepping...
but maybe
also look at the box, that will tell you the slXXX code from which you can get stepping (B0 or C1)

It was OEM and had a sticker on the little plastic case it came in. I'll look on there.

Found this which may should help you translate the SLxxx code into the stepping. Dunno if it's outdated...

Thanks for the link. Now what is this difference in CPU stepping? My CPU turned out to be B0. I found it by narrowing down with the filters on the Intel site and just looked for the Part# from my OEM CPU.
