I have a throughbred athlon xp 1800. As you know, it is default at 1.53Ghz and 133 fsb. Right now, i have it at 1.66 Ghz and 166 fsb. I dont know if this is a tbred A or B, but i here some of you guys getting 2300 mhz out of 2100s easy, my question is, Im using stock cooling, what do you think my chances are of reaching 2 Ghz on my 1800, remeber its a tbred, and seems to be running really well at 1.66 ghz.

It is still at default vcore right now??? Test its stability there and start pushing up....The fact is once it starts to need vcore adjustments the leaps will get smaller and smaller....

If you make it to 1.8ghz range still at default vcore and temps look good then I say likely...

it wont even boot at 11 x 166. at 10.5 x 166, it boots as 1.75 Ghz then a few minutes later it will auto turn off due to my mainboards cpu heat protection. So it looks like 1.66 ghz is all ill be able to squeeze out of my 1800. im running 10.5 X 166.

I have my t-bred at 1.7 volts, but it overvolts to like 1.76 or somthing close to that... some people have theirs up to 2volts, but I would say 1.8 is the highest I would ever put this chip at. If its shutting off due to heat, then you know how to fix that :) . My 2100+ @ 2.3ghz runs around 30C and around 36C after hours of gaming, and my "sytem temp" goes from around 26C to 32C with all air cooling.
