CPU speed mark in 3D Mark 2000 ...

Aside from the CPU itself, do any other factors affect the score? I have a Pentium III 1GHz, and I'm getting a score of 160 in the CPU speed test; much lower than it should be. I have my RAM running at 100MHz, so that could be part of the problem (getting my PC133 this Wednesday), but I wouldn't imagine it would affect it that much. I have a CUSL2-C. Any idea as to why it's so low and how I can fix it? Thanks!

I just ran it and got CPU Speed of 526 with a P!!!700 @ 933 (133 FSB). Seems like something is amiss, but it's more than just the RAM/FSB speed.

I'm not sure what other factors weigh-in on the CPU test. What were your 3D Marks for the default benchmark? I just got ~7200 with the P!!!933/128MB RAM/GF2 @ 220/400. I used to get about ~5400 with my C533A @ 825.

I get 294 points on my 800 MHz Thunderbird. Funny thing is I can't run CPU speed test with 32 bit palette, only with 16 bit. It reports: "Could not run test, skipping".

I have a Matrox G200 and therefore my full test score is typically 920-1000. I plan on getting a new video card sometime soon, but I wouldn't think that it would affect the CPU speed mark. Other benchmarking/real applications appear to be running at proper speed, so I imagine it's not a CPU clock problem.

Well, I just ran it with 512MB of Corsair PC133 (222), and it reports 162. So I assume that the video card does affect the CPU speed score.
