CPU.speed change

I had a 586 pentiun computer with a 75 MHZ CPU and I bought
a 200 MMX processor I install the new processor but the computer
only showed me 133 MHz how can I fix this Can you help please
I tried changing the Jumpers but I don't know how

what is your motherboard and are you sure it supports up to 200mhz, might only go to 133. also have a look on the net for the motherboard and find out what the jumpers are?? unless your got the manual use that instead.

check to make sure that your board will handle a MMX chip. I know when I upgraded my dad's system from a p75 to a 166. that was as high as I could go because they don't make a regular 200 mhz cpu anymore and they are a pain to get ahold of. I do know that the 200 mmx were easier to grab at the time, but they wouldn't work.

might be a bios issue, did you buy one of those upgrade chips, most p75s, didnt have motherboards that could support the p200mmx voltage.
